When I took this class, I had Demkowicz. In my opinion, he is one of the best professors at UT. He knows the information well and explains it very clearly. He told a few funny stories as well. He might seem kind of hard to approach, but you should not be afraid to talk to him as he is actually a really down to Earth guy.

The secret to doing good in this class is to ace the first two tests (the third test and the final are the most difficult of them all, imagine that). He does not curve, but the cutoff for an A is a 75, which is very manageable. Whenever I took the class, if you did well enough on the first three tests, you did not have to take the final to get an A (or you had to get an extremely low score, which is basically the same as not taking it), so keep that in mind if your finals schedule is looking pretty bad (whose finals schedule is not bad?)

Oh, and do not wear your hat inside of his classroom.
