Two Classes in One
ME 320 is an abridged combination of 2 full-length ME classes: thermodynamics and heat transfer. It's nice that we don't have to take both classes, but it means you need to put in the effort to learn both subjects (which are not that similar).
I had this class with Dr. Kiehne and overall I liked him a lot. He is very passionate about "preparing you for real life" and likes to use real world examples. I did find his tests (3 midterms and a final) pretty challenging, and it's very important to know all of the power cycles! Also, if you have Kiehne you should know that he is very traditional about attendance and class behavior. For instance, if you are late and he sees you walk in, he'll probably say something to you...
